The SMART website is an informative directory to help you choose suitable tradesmen for your work requirements. Each person featured is an approved Buy With Confidence trader and has passed an independent vetting process carried out by West Sussex Trading Standards which includes criminal records and fair-trading checks. To ensure impartial and consistent selection criteria, entry onto the SMART website is dependent on each tradesman becoming ‘Buy With Confidence’ approved by West Sussex Trading Standards.

SMART endeavours to find the best tradesmen to recommend to the users of our scheme. The tradesmen featured should be seen as recommendations only. If the customer decides to employ a tradesman featured, the contract remains between the customer and the contractor at all times. SMART will not be held responsible for any disputes between the customer and the contractor.

Text appearing on this site has been compiled from information supplied by the tradesman or are the opinions of the consumer and as such, SMART cannot be held responsible for any inaccurate information published. If you do find information to be incorrect, please contact us and we will investigate and change this where appropriate.

All feedback cards are forwarded to your local Trading Standards department. We will only disclose your personal data if we are compelled to do so by law, or in response to a valid, legally compliant request by a law enforcement or governmental authority.
